Hi, it has been quite a while since I was here, I have some free time so I
thought I'd show my new wall, it's
not yet complete but it's on the right track. I call it the "Serpent's
Fang" and it's a Sasuke wall, so I hope Sasuke
fans will like it. Also please give comments and criticism, thanks.

Hi there, this is a vector of sasuke, actually 80% of the vectoring is finished
what I really want is your opinion on the color scheme.
I have here two color schemes for you to check so I hope I'll get some good
feedback, enjoy.
I use the Adobe bridge which is a neat little appliction which is bundled with
Photoshop CS2, I could catagorize and rename whole batch of images with any name
I want.
Here's the image, I've worked on it somewhat but I don't think this image is
good enough to use in a wall coz it's low quality but hey let me know what you
think.
Pencil and watercolor is my favorite natural media but I use Photoshop and
Illustrator mainly these days coz like Plainwhitepaper said the "undo"
feature is a real timesaver.
Thanks for sharing your experiences, yeah the mesh tool is great for creating
complex gradients but its a little time consuming and confusing at first but
your tips should help start it of in the right direction and thanks again.
Practice drawing an apple or any other natural object cause mostly all natural
objects have curves, try drawing by looking at images of fruits for example,
they are simple and easy to draw or and did I mention the apple?
Practice makes perfect!
If you have a Digital camera you can get somebody to pose for you or anatomy
books are good for referencing too and having some basic knowledge of the human
anatomy will do you good.
Ok, here's an update on the image, just thought I'd wanted to make this image in
two styles, one with vector shading and one colored in photoshop. I'm working on
a smaller image for the one I'm doing in PS right now, just to get the values
and lighting right and thought I'd share it with you guys, so give me feedback
on this one too.
Since Ukitake is surrounded by fire you should brush in some of the background
color on him which will blend the two layers in much better and I think a little
blurring here and there on the bg would be good too.
Below I have the same image, I edited it a little(hope you wouldn't mind), hope
this helps. Ukitake

Hi and sorry for the late reply.
I think you have a good imagination but you have a long way to go if you want
put them on paper.
The character sure has a menacing look but the proportions are wrong, the tail
is much larger than the head and neck and looks somewhat unnatural. If you want
to create a cool and convincing character which is totally original then you
should first learn
how to draw the natural stuff, a good way to do this is to learn human anatomy
which will be helpful when drawing other animals too.
Since you've drawn a dragon like character it would have been a good idea to
look at pictures of dragons as well, since using reference is the best way to
learn and refine your skill.
Well I hope I've been of some help to you.
Hi, just working on this new vector of sakura-chan and don't let the title of
the thread fool you, this isn't ecchi or hentai, at least I don't think it
is.
Well I'm doing this from scratch, yes my friends it means I'm not using any
scans, I'm not tracing over but rather using some reference
mainly for the pose and the cloths.
I'm thinking of making a wall with naruto, sasuke and sakura but they would be
all grown up like you see in this image and I want it to be pretty cool too!
still there's a lot of work to be done.
I got the inspiration from a scan in MT (Minitokyo.Female.Scans.Naruto_206296)
and btw I'm using the scan for the cloths reference too.
Oh... nearly forgot, I need a mod to comment on this one cos I would like to
submit the finished vector in the gallery( since the cloths are a little
revealing).
Comments are most welcome and please give any good ideas so I can make the final
image better.

You could upload it to imageshack or photobucket and just paste the link in this thread, maybe I could even fix it for you.

Could you be a little more clear on what you're trying to do or could you show the image oyu're trying to fix.

FF5 is one of the toughet games I have played and Xenogears as pretty challenging too.
I really like Anime/game OST's, infact I listen to more anime/game music than any other kind, call me crazy but hey that's just me.
That's a cool painting, good job and congratulations to your team.
Cool scan! thanks for sharing though it got deleted, I hope you have better luck next time.
